Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or ½ cup dried)
- 4 cups water (filtered)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or berries (optional add-ins)
Instructions
- Prep the leaves: Gently rinse fresh lemon balm leaves under cool water. Pat dry.
- Brew:
- Hot method: Pour 4 cups of hot (not boiling) water over leaves. Steep for 10 minutes. Strain.
- Cold method: Add leaves to 4 cups of cold water. Refrigerate for 4–8 hours. Strain.
- Sweeten: Stir in honey or maple syrup while warm (if using).
- Serve: Pour over ice, add mint or citrus, and enjoy!
Notes
- Variations: Add ginger, sparkling water, or lavender for flavor twists.
- Storage: Keep in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Substitutes: Use dried lemon balm if fresh isn’t available. Swap honey with stevia for sugar-free.
