  • 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or ½ cup dried)
  • 4 cups water (filtered)
  • 12 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or berries (optional add-ins)

Instructions

  1. Prep the leaves: Gently rinse fresh lemon balm leaves under cool water. Pat dry.
  2. Brew:
    • Hot method: Pour 4 cups of hot (not boiling) water over leaves. Steep for 10 minutes. Strain.
    • Cold method: Add leaves to 4 cups of cold water. Refrigerate for 4–8 hours. Strain.
  3. Sweeten: Stir in honey or maple syrup while warm (if using).
  4. Serve: Pour over ice, add mint or citrus, and enjoy!
