  • 2 cups crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup sunflower or olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or oil for brushing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, mix feta, cottage cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt.
  • In a small bowl, combine yogurt and oil.
  • Lightly grease a baking dish or round pan.
  • Place one sheet of phyllo dough in the pan and brush with the yogurt-oil mixture.
  • Repeat with another sheet, then add a layer of the cheese filling.
  • Continue layering dough and cheese, brushing each dough layer with yogurt mix.
  • Finish with 2–3 layers of phyllo, brushing the top well.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and crisp.
